Dr. M. Garth Mann, the founder of The Manor Village Life Centers believes health and wellness is based at home… which is why he built the first Manor Village for his mother – over 30 years ago.
Since then, The Manor Villages have evolved into Aging in Place facilities. Our beautiful, fully accessible suites, most with full kitchens are perfect for the senior who doesn’t want to worry about cleaning gutters or vacuuming floors. If you find you need help now or as you grow older; caring, trained staff are there. There is even enhanced and memory care in the event it is needed.
The Manor Village Lifestyle Experience
The Manor Village Life Centers Inc. is an organization of skilled people who serve the mature Resident by providing opportunities to live with meaning and purpose. We care about our Residents and their family members. In many cases, our Staff-Associates feel like part of a Resident’s extended family.
We provide personal care in a happy atmosphere intended to ensure the safety and security of Residents as they enjoy the connection of socialization, exercise classes, entertainment value and activities for dignified living each day.
This non-profit society provides educational programs teaching an advanced level of skills to nursing care staff and associates assisting residents who require additional services.
Our mandate is for early detection of changes in our Residents’ health. Regular assessments include eye examinations, audiology testing, Balance Tracking testing for fall prevention, and pharmaceutical assessments to prevent contra-indications for medications.
Residents are encouraged to attend morning stretch and flex classes – and they are well attended. Sittercise YOGA done to music, helps retain flexibility which is essential for mobility. Research shows regular exercise is beneficial for maintaining positive attitudes!
